About Thuthi (Indian Mallow)
Thuthi, known as Indian Mallow, is a perennial shrub growing up to 3 meters in height, with softly tomentose leaves. It thrives in the hot temperate regions of India and is also found in Sri Lanka, tropical America, and Malaysia. The plant is common in sub-Himalayan tracts and other hotter parts of India. The yellow flowers bloom in the evening, and the seeds are dark brown or black. Thuthi has been traditionally used for its medicinal properties.
