About Thandrikkai (Beleric):

Terminalia Belerica, also known as Vibhitaka, is a large deciduous tree that is found throughout the Indian subcontinent, Sri Lanka, and South East Asia, at elevations up to 900 meters. The tree can reach heights of up to 20-30 meters and has a thick brownish-grey bark with shallow longitudinal fissures. The leaves are crowded around the ends of the branches, alternately arranged, and elliptic to elliptic-obovate in shape with rounded tips or sub-acute. The midrib is prominent, and the leaves are pubescent when young, becoming glabrous with maturity. The flowers are pale greenish-yellow with an offensive odor, borne in axillary spikes longer than the petioles but shorter than the leaves.
