About Shikakai (Soap Pod)
Shikakai is a prickly bush or climber that grows in the tropical forests of India. Its fruits are well known for their use as a natural hair shampoo. The pods turn dark brown and wrinkled when dried. Each pod contains six to ten seeds. For medicinal purposes, both the leaves and fruits of Shikakai are used. The dried pods are powdered to produce Shikakai powder, which is widely used for various health benefits, especially related to hair care.

- Skin Disorders: Boil 1 tablespoon of Shikakai powder in 1 cup of water. Cook for a few minutes and apply the mixture to the affected areas.
- Pain Relief: Apply some castor oil to the affected area. Heat with a hot water bag. Then massage with powdered Shikakai for 15 minutes, wash the area with hot water, and wipe it.
