About Nathai Choori (Landrina)
Nathai Choori, known botanically as Borreria hispida, is a procumbent, branched, hairy or rough herb that grows 10 to 14 centimeters in length. Its branches are greenish or purplish, stout, and 4-angled. The leaves are ovate, spatulate, or elliptic, ranging from 1 to 3.5 centimeters long and 0.8 to 1.7 centimeters wide, and are pointed or rounded at the tip. The plant features 4 to 6 flowers in a whorl in the axils of the leaves, with linear-lanceolate calyx-teeth and pale blue or white corollas measuring 5 to 10 millimeters. The fruit is a hairy capsule about 5 millimeters in length, and the seeds are oblong, granulate, opaque, and usually less than 3 millimeters long.
