About Guggulu (Indian Bedellium Resin)
Indian Bedellium, also known as Guggulu, is a small tree that grows up to 6 meters in height. It has spiral, brown-colored ascending branches ending in sharp scented spines. The plant features shiny, yellowish-white bark that peels off in rough scales, exposing the green under bark which also seals off in the form of papery rolls. The resin produced by its stem, known as Guggul, is yellow in color and has been used in traditional medicine for centuries.
