Returns & Refunds Policy – DrMediCart

This policy applies to all purchases on DrMediCart.com. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below. DrMediCart operates globally from Tamil Nadu, India and sells consumable health, beauty, and grocery products. Due to hygiene, safety, and import-compliance requirements, our return and refund rules are strict.

  1. Order Cancellation

    • Free window: Orders may be cancelled within 1 hour of placement.
    • After 1 hour: Orders enter picking/packing and cannot be cancelled.
    • Fees: Approved cancellations are refunded after deducting 5% towards non-recoverable payment gateway charges, currency conversion, and processing fees. Shipping fees, if any, are non-refundable.
  2. Out-of-Stock / Unable to Fulfil

    If an item becomes unavailable after payment, DrMediCart will cancel the item or order and issue a 100% refund for the affected item(s).

  3. Incorrect / Damaged on Arrival (DOA)

    Claims must be emailed to us within 1 business day of delivery with:

    • Order ID and tracking number
    • A continuous unboxing video starting before the outer seal is cut, clearly showing the shipping label, internal packaging, and issue
    • Clear photos of the outer carton, label, cushioning, and affected item(s)

    Resolution (after verification):

    • Refund of product value after deducting non-recoverable costs such as outbound shipping, payment processing fees, and carrier charges, or a replacement (subject to stock availability).
    • Shipping charges are non-refundable.
    • Glass items are shipped at the buyer’s risk due to transit conditions. Refunds or replacements for glass items are not guaranteed and will be considered only when Priority Express shipping with insurance was selected and carrier evidence supports the claim.

    The following do not qualify as DOA: cosmetic dents or creases to outer boxes, minor label or packaging variations, or leakage under 5 ml caused by air-pressure changes during transit.

  4. Wrong Item Received

    Report within 1 business day with the same evidence listed above. Upon verification, we will arrange a replacement or issue a refund after deducting non-recoverable costs.

  5. Expired / Near-Expiry Items

    • If an item arrives expired, report within 1 business day with video proof. A refund may be issued after deducting non-recoverable costs.
    • Short-dated items clearly disclosed on the product page or printed with manufacturer MFD/BBE within commonly accepted ranges are not eligible for refund.
  6. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Categories

    Due to health, hygiene, and regulatory compliance, the following are final sale once shipped:

    • Opened or used consumables, supplements, foods, teas, powders, capsules, cosmetics
    • Glass containers (any condition)
    • Personal care, intimate, and hygiene products once the seal is broken
    • Perishable or temperature-sensitive goods
    • Free gifts, bonus items, and sample packs
    • Items marked Clearance, Short-Dated, or Non-Returnable

    Change-of-mind, taste, fragrance, texture preference, or personal dislike is not a valid reason for return.

    Where permitted by applicable consumer protection laws, statutory cooling-off rights may not apply to these categories.

  7. Address Issues, Delivery Attempts & RTO

    If a parcel is returned to origin (RTO) due to incorrect address, refusal, unclaimed delivery, unpaid duties/taxes, or unreachable recipient:

    • We may re-ship after receipt of the parcel and payment of return, re-shipping, customs, and handling charges, or
    • We may refund the item value after deducting original shipping, return shipping, customs/brokerage fees charged to us, and a 10% restocking fee.
    • Parcels abandoned by customs or carriers are not eligible for refund.
  8. Customs, Duties & Import Rules

    Orders are shipped DAP (Delivered At Place) unless stated otherwise. All customs duties, VAT/GST, brokerage, and import fees are the buyer’s responsibility. Refusal to pay may result in RTO or abandonment, with deductions applied as described above.

  9. Proof & Timelines

    • All claims must be reported within 1 business day of carrier delivery scan.
    • Claims without required video and photo evidence may be rejected.
    • All original packaging must be retained until the claim is resolved.
  10. Refund Method & Processing Time

    Approved refunds are issued only to the original payment method. Banks and processors may take 5–20 business days to reflect the credit. Foreign exchange differences and cross-border fees are beyond our control.

  11. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention

    If a chargeback or payment dispute is raised while a claim is under review, resolution will be paused until the dispute is resolved. Fraudulent claims may be refused and reported to payment processors or relevant authorities.

  12. Limitation of Liability

    DrMediCart’s total liability for any order shall not exceed the order value. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

  13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

    This policy is governed by the laws of Tamil Nadu, India. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

  14. Policy Updates

    This policy may be updated without prior notice to reflect regulatory or service changes. The version published on the website applies to all subsequent orders.
